Are You In It For The Short Term Or The Long Haul?

Sometimes people start a business (or take on more work) because they are looking for a quick fix to a short-term problem, for example, earning extra money for vacation.  The effort they put into the business is high in the beginning and then when they reach the goal they set, then the business takes a back seat and a potential long-term income source suffers.

It is important when starting a business to have your priorities and goals straightened out.  Guess what happens when you reach the short-term goals you have set for yourself?  You should make new ones….in fact, you should have these goals in place before you obtain your original goals.  Why?  Because this is the motivating factor to remain present in your business.  If you achieved what you set out for yourself…what else are you capable of?  What possibilities do you see for your future?  What other things do you want in life?

It is rare that a person sets out to obtain a goal and then never needs to set another one.  The vacation scenario from above?  Is this the only vacation the person will take?  No, but when there is no new goal to take the place of the old one, then everything stops.  In the future when another need arises, the person will realize how much farther ahead they would be if they would have never stopped working on their business.  Has this happened to you?  Did you have something that you started, a business, or learning that you stopped but now wished you would have maintained?

The great part about life is that there is always the possibility for another chance.  Learn from the past and let go.  Starting a business doesn’t really have an age limit.  You just need the desire to learn and share what you know.  You need to keep your goals current to keep your business within your present.

I know that sometimes people will let opportunities slip away because they feel that they do not know enough to begin. One of the great benefits of being an affiliate for SFI is that there is a wealth of information at your fingertips. The greatest part about this, it is available after you sign up…there is nothing else to do (minus studying the content)…no fee to pay or training to purchase. So, you get a great business opportunity and then you receive the training to help you put forth your best effort. As stated in previous articles, if you have any questions, there are people available who have the answers.

The various training covers a multitude of subjects, from the best ways to begin at SFI (in general) to easy marketing strategies to get your information out to those who desire it. Topics include blogs, articles, courses, FAQs, and general chat among your fellow affiliates. Another great way to learn is through the LaunchPad series. This series includes 30 days of tips and training to get you started in your SFI business. You get a full month of information delivered to your inbox (or in your affiliate center). You should definitely take your time and learn as much as you can, so that one day you might be the resource that new affiliates turn to for answers.

Does the idea of marketing overwhelm you? SFI has training for this as well. The training discusses the various types of marketing (online, mail, etc.) and easy ways for you to begin. Short on cash currently? SFI’s training shows ways for low or no-cost marketing strategies to help you out. The information you learn will not only help you with your marketing efforts, it will also help you to become an expert and resource on the subject for others. They will wonder where you are learning all of this great information.

The one thing that you must do to be successful (in any endeavor) is to be serious about this. Treat your business like a business. This means that you must schedule time to work on it, schedule time to increase your knowledge regarding best practices for running it, and work on getting to know others already in the business. There are many who have come before you and have tried various practices in the past. Learn from them, study what worked and how they made it work. Everyone is unique and comes into business with different backgrounds and skill sets. Spend time in the forums getting to know everyone and sharing your unique knowledge. It is amazing the magic that happens when different people get together to look at the same ideas. Everyone sees it in their own personal way and the ideas that are shared can take your business to a whole other level.

What is SFI?

For the new marketer, SFI offers a comprehensive learning platform to help get the new affiliate off to a good start.  There are simple steps given so that they will not become overwhelmed with all the information.  When the affiliate is ready, there is more in-depth learning available.  The affiliate can begin with 30 days of short structured activities to gain a good understanding of the business.  If even this is overwhelming, there is a 4-step process containing the minimum that the affiliate can do to still move ahead with their business.

The Changing Landscape of the Individual Worker

Job security seems nonexistent these days.  People who have worked at jobs for two weeks or twenty years are being let go.  Maybe during the economic downturn the company took a hard hit and everyone who worked there was forced to look somewhere else for their paycheck.  It is times like these where having more than one avenue to wealth is imperative.  If you are having difficulty finding someone to hire you, then start out by hiring yourself!  In the previous articles, we have reviewed your strengths and weaknesses and what types of businesses suit you.  Now it is time to take action!

The important factor for you is to look at opportunities and decide what is right for you.  I liked SFI because it was free to join and there was plenty of opportunity to look around the site and really get to know the business.  Have you ever had a friend or family member tell you about this “great opportunity” but they could never really explain the details of it?  They just seemed to be parroting the “party line.”  If you cannot get straight answers from someone regarding any business opportunity they have for you, then steer clear of it.

It seems important currently, to go into business for yourself.  This does not need to be a full-time venture (even though it most certainly can be), but it is a way for you to make money through your own efforts.  You know your strengths, you can find opportunities suited to your strengths, and there are opportunities out there.  SFI is the opportunity that I found.  It was what I was looking for when I was looking to diversify my wealth portfolio.  Again, I will discuss my thoughts on this in future articles.  Right now, we are focusing on you and what kind of future you desire for yourself.  I know that I want to be able to support myself and live the lifestyle I want no matter what the state of the economy is.

There are opportunities out there.  I cannot think of a single time when there will be people who do not need help with something.  You can provide that something!  When you think about it, you can review your strengths and weaknesses with this in mind… your strengths are your assets and your weaknesses are other’s opportunities.  There are things that you will not be the best at or you will find that you do not have the time for.  You will run across people who love doing what you do not and devote their time to perfecting it.  This way you can work on and share your talents and they can work on and share their talents.  The end result will be a mutually beneficial outcome.  How great is that?

Choosing the Business That’s Right for You: Types of Income

Most people who want to start a business are looking to increase their wealth.  There are three types of income that can be made when you are diversifying your wealth.  These types are earned, investment, and passive income.  It would be wise to have a good mix of these to round out your wealth portfolio.

Earned income is exactly as it sounds.  It is money that is earned from actively working.  An example of this is the hourly employee.  This person is paid for the hours they work “on the clock.”  The second type of income is investment income.  An example would be your investment portfolio, where money is made from the sale, interest or dividend that is generated from stocks and bonds.  The final type of income is passive income.  What I mean by passive income is money that is made with minimal sustained effort on your part.  Another word for passive income is residual income.  These types of income can include rent, e-book sales, and some Internet businesses.

Some businesses offer the opportunity for more than one type of income to be earned at the same time.  One such business that has multiple ways to wealth is a company of which I am an affiliate—SFI.  SFI stand for Strong Future International and has been around since 1998.  It began modestly with one product and a limited reach (available only in the United States).  Today there are thousands of products and affiliates working all over the globe.  Over the course of the next articles, I will share what I have learned about this company and what I see for my future and yours, as well.

Choosing the Business That’s Right For You: What Are You Good At?

Now you realize that diversity is the key.  Great!  Okay, how do you decide which direction to go?  There are an endless amount of possibilities out there.  The first thing you need to determine is what you are good at.

When people are asked this question, they tend to look at the big ticket items instead of seeing the strengths in the little things they do.  For example, a person might state that they are a good secretary, but they need to take this statement a step further.  What is it about them that makes them a good secretary?  This is when true revelations begin!  It is not that they are a good secretary, but that they are excellent at multi-tasking, organizing events, and keeping the office running smoothly.  Even that last one can be further broken down.  How do they do this?  They make sure that the office is always stocked with supplies, that correspondence is flawless and goes out in a timely manner, and on and on.  So, take a few minutes to reflect on your strengths.  If you are having difficulty with this, then ask your family, friends, or coworkers.  Sometimes they see you more clearly than you do.

Now you have your list of strengths.  Which businesses cater to these strengths?  Also, consider businesses that interest you and match your personality.  Your strengths can match some businesses, but if a business doesn’t match your personality or interest, then it should not be considered.  No reason to waste your time.  Other considerations to keep in mind are your weaknesses and your personal habits.  For example, are you a morning person or late-night person?  Are weekends off-limits for work?  Do you work better by yourself or with others?  Answering these questions, and others that occur to you, will give you a better picture of the types of businesses that may work for you.

I reviewed my strengths and weaknesses and I decided to become an entrepreneur.  I am currently an affiliate of SFI (Strong Future International), but we will talk of this later.  I like being an entrepreneur because I have the freedom to work when I want.  It is true that I cannot take a month off all the time, but if I have a family event coming up, I only need to schedule it in and adjust the business accordingly.  There are no forms to fill out for time off; I am not using sick days, or anything of the sort.  It comes down to prioritizing my time to ensure that family time is scheduled into my work life.

Commissions Ver2

Hello All,

Commissions are earned from gaining VP, as is the rank structure.
TCredits are your purchasing power at TripleClicks and MRP is a result of purchasing goods at TripleClicks with credit card, paypal etc.
Commissions are also dependent on your downline team and how active they are.
The VP are reset every month and a new month begins. Commissions are worked out on the 10th or the next business day.
Do not expect too much in the first few months however, it is a long term investment and it will pay off. From my own experience the commissions actually compound as your team grows.

Play with the Earning Calculator from 'Income' \ 'Earnings Calculator' to see how the more downline team are EA or better with 1500VP+ the better are your commissions.

2 days to go before end of the month

Hello All,  With only two days to go until the end of the month we all need to ramp up our efforts to make EA status before the 31st.  I have been reading the forum on how some people have used MRP's to get them over the line.  By buying 1 x TCredit with Member Rewards Points and then using that TCredit to bid on an auction it has been sufficient to make the 1500VP required to make EA status. Shipping Terms at TripleClicks

I was asked a question about Shipping Terms when setting up items for sale at TripleClicks. This is my reply - -

Yes, good question.
It depends on the item and the weight.
Most things seem to cost around $11.00 more or less.
I'm in Australia and it's a bit dearer maybe $14-19 depending on the item.
You can put in whatever seems fair to you.

SFI Earnings Calculator

Hello All,

If there is one thing that really excites me it is to see good commissions coming in each and every month.

To recap, so far in the five months that I have been with SFI, I have earned commissions every month, with these commissions compounding in a big way.  For example I earned 14 times what I earned in month 1 in month 4.  With this sort of growth it does make me VERY excited!

There is no doubt that building a strong, active downline will help your cause.  I have been in direct contact with Gery Carson on numerous occasions and in our last communication (today) he explained to me more on the Earnings Calculator.  I can forward his email to you if you would like to read it for yourself.

In summary though, the Earnings Calculator is a conservative estimate on what you could earn over time.  I suggest having a look at it to see what you could earn in 6 months to 2 years.

My hope is that you will become as excited as I am to build your team and extend your business!

This can be achieved in a number of ways but specifically by -
a. logging everyday and picking up the 11 'free' points.

Once you have picked the banner you want copy the code into your website, blog etc.

Purchasing at TripleClicks

Hi Everyone,
Anything that is purchased from TripleClicks can be paid for via your account (i.e., you can charge your account [by support; phone or chat], or via earnings), visa/paypal etc, TCredits and or MRP.
I let mine mount up, I think you have to use them by 6 months. Once they mount up you could make a big purchase.
You do not gain any VP when purchasing via TCredits or MRP.

Motivation

Hello All,
Just a quick word about motivation.
I have just been looking through my Genealogy list and I'm seeing a few people who have not logged in for a while.
Like most people I have a day job and SFI is a new venture for me. My thought process is that SFI is a long term investment which will pay off over time
